My name is Jane O'Neill and I founded Baby Cards after the birth of my first born child, Molly. I received an overwhelming number of baby gifts after my daughter's arrival and was so taken a back by the generosity of people I wanted to send something personal to thank people for their kind wishes at such a special time.
At the time my husband ran a digital print company and we set about designing and printing our own personalized baby cards to send to family and friends. The positive comments received about Molly's thank you cards got me thinking and whilst on maternity leave I set about doing some market research.
Baby Cards was conceived and a new business venture was born. The first website was launched in Ireland in 2004, then a year later in 2005 we launched the site in the UK, followed by Australia mid 2009. Now Baby Cards has ventured to the US and we hope US Moms and Dads like our cards just as much as the rest of the world.
Baby Cards has been a fantastic and totally unexpected experience for me. When I was gave birth to Molly I was entering into the world of motherhood but to my unexpected surprise my beautiful daughter provided me with the inspiration to enter the world of business as well. I receive a tremendous amount of satisfaction from my work and am fortunate to work with a great team of people to ensure we provide new Moms and Dads with beautiful quality products. Our unique online proofing facility and shopping cart features save new parents precious time as your proof can be viewed on screen in seconds and you can save your card into your shopping cart to either amend or purchase later, at a time which suits you.
Building a website takes a huge amount of time and resources and my husband and I would like to thank all those people who have helped with the creation of Baby Cards.
